2025 Chevrolet Equinox Ev Review
Chevy hasn’t forgotten about the EV market, with an affordable Equinox Ev that offers surprisingly good range and nice features. And unlike most EVs, this one can take advantage of public fast charging at up to 150 kilowatts.
A Discover the latest model helps create generous front and rear-seat room, and the Chevy’s sleek roofline doesn’t interfere with visibility or cargo capacity. A large 17.7-inch touchscreen display adorns the center of the dashboard, with an 11-inch display for the driver. And while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone-mirroring aren’t available, there are several built-in apps that work just fine.
The Equinox EV’s 213-hp electric motor produces plenty of instant torque, making for an energetic driving experience around town and in highway passing. Its 285-mile EPA rating is competitive with rival EVs, but you’ll notice the Chevy runs out of steam when you hit the interstate.

Despite its substantial mass, the Equinox EV rides comfortably and handles with competent precision. This was a welcome change from the underwhelming experience I had in a Chevrolet Blazer EV, and it’s more than enough to make this an enticing alternative to a gas-powered SUV.
Our test car came equipped with a $2,700 package that adds GM’s excellent Super Cruise hands-free driving feature. Adaptive cruise control does a good job maintaining speed on the highway, and it works well at night. You can also use the system to park and pull out from a driveway without your hands on the wheel.
