Dermatology Acne Treatment Review

Jennifer Welter

Hey peeps! Mel here!

Today I am going to talk about my experience with a popular acne solution that has a lot of people talking: Dermology Acne Treatment.

I used this product for over six weeks and documented my experience (I am still using it to this day).

So, without further ado, let's begin!

After years of searching for an effective acne treatment, I stumbled across Dermology, and now that I’ve seen some astonishing results I thought I should give a full account of my experience to you guys.

At this point in life, I’ve tried 90% of the standard acne treatments which claim their product is "the best on the market", so I was skeptical when my friend told me about Dermology.

However, since they offered a no commitment free trial (they still do, by the way), I decided to try it out.

Needless to say, ever since my free trial ended, I have purchased Dermology three times, and plan to buy more for a long time. That's how much I liked the results!

To get a free trial all you have to do is fill out this form here, and you'll have this great product in no time, for free!

To help everyone else that struggles with persistent acne, I’ve given a full account of the time I’ve spent using the product.

Summary of my experience

  • Made my acne almost completely disappear
  • Removed red dots
  • Didn't irritate my skin
  • Made my skin smoother
  • Increased my confidence

Overview of Dermology Acne Treatment

Dermology Acne Treatment is what’s known as a ‘skin management’ system, which means that it’s designed to treat the actual causes of acne.

Unlike a lot of topical acne creams, it doesn't just dress the top layers of skin during a breakout.

Instead, it penetrates the deeper, sub-dermal tissue to soothe inflammation and reduce the chances of spots forming in the first place.

It works by delivering a whole host of powerful, antioxidant compounds that are capable of dampening your body’s immune response and preventing the sore, red spots that pop up when your skin is aggravated.

Better still, this solution is designed for continuous use.

This means that it’s more than capable of calming your skin during a bad breakout, but it’s also, primarily helpful in the sense that it actually stops your skin getting aggravated in the first place - preventing future outbreaks instead of just tackling the spots your currently fighting.

Its principal, active ingredients are all things like Vitamin E, sandalwood and Resveratrol; a powerful antioxidant that’s found in grapes and other fruit.

And the fact that it is a natural product means that it’s 100% safe to use on delicate or sensitive skin.

If you use it continuously (which I’d strongly recommend), you’ll find that it leaves your skin feeling fresh, and doesn't really change your daily makeup routine all that much.

My Experience With Dermology Acne Solution

I’ve struggled with acne for over 10 years now.

Anyone who’s battled the condition will know precisely how difficult it can get at times, but I think it’s probably worth pointing out that my skin isn’t just prone to breakouts.

Untreated, it’s breakout-city on a 24/7 basis.

I wouldn’t say my acne was horrible, perse. Doctors tell me that it’s moderate to mild in terms of the actual spots, but its really persistent, and that does wear you down.

Even on good days, I feel like the first thing that people notice is the angry, red spots that cover my face, and my makeup routine has become so convoluted and concealer-heavy that I sometimes feel like I’m carrying half of the drugstore in my purse.

By the time I hit my 20’s, the emotional scarring was probably more damaging than the physical side of the condition.

I’ve spent years avoiding photos, the selfie craze passed me by completely, and I tend to shy away from any social occasions that’ll put my face in the spotlight.

I’m fine in a nightclub, but a garden party? Hell no. I don’t go out with my girlfriends as much as I’d like to, I get anxiety attacks whenever I have to meet new people at work, and I even tried to skip prom, much to my boyfriend's "delight."

I feel like I’ve let my acne define me, and I know that a lot of other people, especially girls, are in precisely the same boat, so trust me when I say that I’ve been looking for a proper acne treatment for a really long time now!

I’ve always been really cautious of chemical-heavy preparations though. I know that a lot of acne treatments can actually do more harm than good and that the active ingredients in some can have really nasty side effects if they’re used for a long time.

I’m also a big, big believer in natural solutions as I think that our skin is meant to be treated gently.

As such, It’ll probably come as no surprise to learn that I was really taken-in by Dermology's product.

First Impressions

I actually first tried the product as a free trial - I’m usually quite wary of these, but my friends recommendation, the reviews I’d read, and the product’s focus on plant-based anti-oxidants won me over quite quickly, and I have to admit that I’m thrilled I gave it a shot.

It didn’t hurt that I could order online either: I’ve never been a big fan of traipsing into pharmacies on the regular, and I really wanted something that I could reorder quickly, should I run out.

Once I was actually on the site, I have to say that I was really pleased with how simple and straight forward it was to sign up for the free trial. All I had to do was fill in a simple form!

All of that pales in comparison to the product itself though.

When I first got the box in the post, I remember being really excited to try it. It looked professional, easy to use and trustworthy.

Dabbing some on my skin, I could also tell that it was a really natural product too - there was none of the tingling, itching sensations that I associate with chemical cleansers, and my skin felt firm and fresh after I’d rubbed it in.

I didn’t feel the effects straight away; it's fair to say that the mild formulation and focus on natural antioxidants means that it does take a couple of days to really get going - but by day three I was seeing a marked improvement in the size and color of my spots.

By the end of the first week, they weren’t really all that noticeable at all, and it’s fair to say that my current breakout had died down completely.

Feeling buoyed-up by these results, I committed to using the treatment for at least a month, to see if it really did have any long-lasting effects.

Results

I’m thrilled to announce that I just hit week eight, and I’m definitely not slowing down.

I’ve found the whole thing empowering, my acne is definitely under my control for the first time, and I haven't suffered a significant breakout in two months.

And that’s had a massive impact on my life.

I’ve let people take pictures with me, I've gone out with my girlfriends about twice as much as I’d usually dare and I’ve even gone clothes shopping on three separate occasions, which is pretty momentous for someone that used to be afraid to show her face in public!

Here is a before and after pic of me:

It’s really helped to improve my personal relationships too.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for five or six years now and I always thought that I was over the initial insecurities, fears, and nervousness that I had when he was around but after using Dermology for a few weeks, I suddenly found that, sans acne, I was actually a lot more confident when we were together.

My skin feels miles better too. It’s cooler, calmer and more even.

It’s also smoother to the touch and rarely feels itchy or angry like it used to.

Long term, I think I’ll definitely keep using Dermology. I’ve already purchased a few times after my trial ran out and I certainly see no reason to stop.

Verdict

It’s too early to tell whether its capable of permanently suppressing breakouts, and I’m sure the next time that I’m really stressed I’ll end up reaching for the concealer but, day-to-day, it’s been an enormous improvement and its done wonders for my self-confidence.

If like me, you're scared of very abrasive, chemical treatment but desperately want clear skin, I’d strongly recommend giving it a shot.

It’s gentle, it’s easy to use and, best of all, it does actually work!
